CHE331A: Chemical Reaction Engineering

Course Content

Introduction; basic concepts in chemical kinetics; determination of rate expressions; nonelementary homogeneous reactions; isothermal design of batch, mixed flow and plug flow reactors; design for multiple reactions; nonisothermal reactors; analysis of nonideal reactors; catalysis; kinetics of catalytic reactions; diffusion and reaction in porous catalysts.

Course Audience

Third year undergraduate students who have at least got an E-grade in ESO201A (Thermodynamics). Currently, this course is a compulsory course for the third year Chemical Engineering Students. It is also one of the courses required for a minor in Chemical Engineering.
